Johnnycake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. white corn meal
    1 c. scalded milk or boiling water
    butter
Preparation
    Mix salt and corn meal.
    Gradually stir in scalded milk or boiling water.
    Spread 1/4-inch deep in a buttered shallow pan. If desired, dot with butter, in small bits.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until crisp.
