Marinated Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks
    1 (29 oz.) can peach slices or 2 small cans
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges
    1 regular size box vanilla pudding (not instant)
    fresh bananas
    fresh strawberries
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, saving juice (1 cup of juice needed; add water if not full).
    Cook juice and pudding until thick.
    Drain peach slices.
    Add 1/2 juice from oranges to the pudding.
    Mix with pineapple, peaches and oranges.
    Marinate overnight in refrigerator.
    Before serving, add lots of banana slices and strawberries.
