Grandma'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    oil
    1 c. ground beef/pork mixture
    1 medium onion, chopped
    basil
    1 can whole tomatoes (28 oz.)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can clear chicken broth
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cook on medium-low in large saucepan,
    enough oil to cover the bottom, an onion and meat, until browned.
    Add blended whole tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper and cook 30 minutes on low.
    Add tomato paste, chicken broth and water.
    Cook 3 hours on low.
