Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1/3 c. shortening
3 sq. melted chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

Combine cake flour, baking soda, sugar and salt together.
Add sour cream and shortening; beat for 2 minutes.
Add melted chocolate, vanilla, eggs and hot water.
Beat for 2 minutes.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes for sheet cake and 25 minutes for layer cake or until springs back when touched.
