Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. strawberry jello
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. boiling water
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
    2 qt. 7-Up or ginger ale
Preparation
    Mix jello and sugar together.
    Add boiling water until jello-sugar is dissolved; cool.
    Add pineapple juice and freeze. Thaw at least 2 hours at room temperature.
    Add 7-Up or ginger ale when ready to serve.
    Should have ice crystals (no ice cubes necessary).
