Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. corn meal
    2 Tbsp. bacon grease
    2 qt. water, salted
    8 to 10 dried Mexican chili peppers
    5 medium size onions
    3 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground pork
    2 (No. 2) cans tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Cook corn meal and water until a thick mush and add bacon grease.
    Cook chili peppers, onions and ground meat until done. Line greased pan with mush, then meat mixture and cover with mush. Bake slowly about 2 hours.
    Serves 12.
