Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. shredded lettuce
    4 or 5 carrots, thinly sliced
    1 1/2 c. precooked, drained and chilled macaroni
    1 pkg. small frozen peas
    1 medium size red onion, sliced
    3/4 lb. smoked sausage, thinly sliced
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 tsp. dill weed
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a large bowl, layer lettuce, carrots, macaroni, peas, onion and sausage.
    Repeat layers.
    Whip the mayonnaise, dill weed and salt together.
    Frost salad with the mixture.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese on top of dressing (whipped mixture).
    Cover with foil and refrigerate.
