Pecan Drops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. pecans
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. powdered sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening (Crisco or vegetable, not lard)
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Start oven at 325\u00b0 and chop pecans rather coarsely.
Work or cream butter and shortening together until smooth, then beat in sugar gradually.
Stir in the flour thoroughly and add vanilla and pecans.
Mix well and drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until a delicate brown.
