Shirley'S Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour (a little more if not stiff enough)
    2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1 can milk
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
    Add shortening, then egg and milk.
    Leave in refrigerator overnight.
    Take pieces of dough size of large marble.
    Roll.
    Cut round circle size of large saucer.
    Add 1 1/2 tablespoons very stiff filling (your choice).
    Brush 1/2 of edge with water.
    Fold over.
    Crimp edges together with fork and deep fry until golden brown.
