Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. oil or 1 stick oleo
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together oatmeal and water and let set 30 minutes. \"Smash\" together remaining ingredients and bake at 350\u00b0 in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan for about 45 minutes.
    Three-quarter cup chopped nuts or raisins may be added.
    Serve as is or with a butter frosting.
