Wassail - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. apple juice or cider
1 pt. cranberry juice
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. aromatic bitters
2 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp. whole allspice
1 small orange, studded with whole cloves
1 c. rum (optional)
Preparation

For best results, be sure to begin the vinegar well in advance since you'll need to let it stand for a while to absorb the flavors.
Put the flavoring of your choice in clean bottles and fill them with plain wine vinegar.
Leave an inch free at the top if you need to insert a cork or glass stopper.
