Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped popcorn (1/2 c. unpopped)
    1/2 c. oleo
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. unsalted nuts
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine popped corn and nuts in a large roasting pan.
    In medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, oleo and salt.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Boil for 4 minutes without stirring.
    Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and nuts; toss to coat well. Bake for 60 minutes in a 250\u00b0 oven, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and break apart.
    Store in airtight container.
    Makes 4 quarts.
