Ham And Green Beans With Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. shoulder or picnic ham
    4 potatoes, peeled and cut in chunks
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
Preparation
    Place ham in heavy kettle.
    Add 2 inches of water and cook slowly, covered, for 1 1/2 hours.
    Add potatoes and green beans (a little water if needed) and continue cooking slowly for another hour, or until meat is tender and the potatoes are soft.
