Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in strips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
    2 c. water
    2 medium green bell peppers, cut into thin strips
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cut
    meat
    into thin strips. In skillet heat shortening and brown
    meat, turning frequently. Stir in onion soup and 2 cups water.
    Cover
    and\tsimmer\t30 minutes. Stir in peppers. Simmer, covered,
    10
    minutes
    or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch with
    1/2
    cup
    water.
    Stir
    into skillet.
    Cook, stirring, until thickened.\tServe over rice or noodles.
