Easy Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. pork, cut 1-inch square
    1 lb. veal, cut 1-inch square
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 1/2 c. bean sprouts or water chestnuts
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Melt shortening; saute meat 8 to 10 minutes.
    Add rest of ingredients, except cornstarch and water.
    Stir the water and cornstarch together and pour over to thicken.
    Serve over rice or noodles.
    Serves 6.
