"Carolina Pound Cake" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 1/4 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. milk
    3 drops yellow cake coloring
Preparation
    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar with electric beaters 10 minutes.
    Add eggs, one at a time; continue creaming.
    Add flour, milk, salt, baking powder and almond extract.
    (Blend well all ingredients.)
    Pour into a well-greased, floured tube cake pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
    This cake will make twelve servings.
