Oven-Baked Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can potatoes, drained
1 1/2 lb. beef for stew or boneless chuck, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
1 medium-size onion, sliced
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom gravy
1/2 pkg. (1 envelope) onion soup mix
1/3 c. water
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
Preparation

Slice potatoes.
Place half in a large baking dish.
Brown meat, a few pieces at a time, with onion in oil in a large skillet.
Remove meat and onions as they brown to baking dish. Top with remaining sliced potatoes.
