Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. 100% bran flakes
    1 c. Crisco (canola oil)
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk (low-fat)
    5 c. flour
    5 tsp. soda
    4 c. All-Bran cereal
    1/2 box raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over bran flakes.
    Add Crisco.
    Stir.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Stir together.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 22 minutes.
    (Better if batter is chilled.) Batter will keep in refrigerator for 6 to 7 weeks.
    Makes approximately 6 dozen.
