Dixie Pecan Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. pecans
1 c. corn syrup
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Blend together shortening and sugar; stir in pecans.
Set aside.
Mix together corn syrup, eggs, salt, milk and vanilla. Pour over shortening and sugar mixture.
Mix well.
Pour into pie crust.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
