German Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. blanched almonds, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Beat eggs lightly; add sugar and stir together.
    Add flour, sifted with a pinch of salt, the baking powder and the spices. Dredge almonds in a little flour and fold in.
    Add flavoring. Bake in a large, shallow pan in a 350\u00b0 oven, raising heat gradually to 375\u00b0.
    Bake from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Cool cake in the pan.
    Cut in squares.
    Recipe makes 1 large cake.
