Sourdough Starter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar or honey
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
Preparation
    In large glass or pottery bowl combine yeast, sugar, salt and flour.
    Gradually add water, while beating, until smooth.
    Cover with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and let stand 2 days at room temperature.
    Beat before using.
    After using, add 1 cup each flour and warm (not hot) water to remaining starter and beat until smooth.
    Store in refrigerator in a large glass jar or crock with a tight-fitting lid, allowing room for expansion.
