Snickers Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bag caramels
    2 Tbsp. water
    3 Tbsp. butter
    12 oz. pkg. milk chocolate chips
    1 jar dry roasted peanuts
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Melt caramels with water and butter.
    Add peanuts.
    Melt chips and shortening.
    Divide in half and put half mixture in 8-inch buttered foil pan.
    Cool.
    Top with caramel mixture and then remaining half of chocolate mixture.
    Double recipe for 9 x 13-inch pan.
