Black Walnut Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. black walnut flavoring
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
2 sticks margarine
5 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
Preparation

Melt chocolate; set aside.
Cream together the margarine, shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour with baking powder, salt and cocoa.
(Coat chopped walnuts with a bit of this.)
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Add flavoring, chocolate and nuts.
Put into a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and about 45 minutes.
Turn out on rack to cool.
This freezes well.
