Saucy Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 (14 1/2 to 16 oz.) jar marinara sauce
    1 c. fresh bread crumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
Preparation
    About 20 minutes before serving, in medium bowl, mix well the ground beef, 1/2 cup marinara sauce, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
    Shape into 8 patties.
    In a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot salad oil, cook patties until well browned on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
    Pour drippings from skillet. Return meat to skillet and pour remaining sauce over meat. Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
