Ingredients

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 sticks butter
3 1/2 c. plain flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) bag coconut
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. sweet milk
pinch of baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter together on low speed.
Add eggs, one by one, beating continuously.
Then add flour and milk.
Continue mixing until nice and smooth.
Add flavor.
Pour into 3 (9-inch) layer cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Frost with white frosting mixed with coconut after cooling completely.
