Dessert Rhubarb Crunch - cooking recipe

1 c. flour
3/4 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. melted oleo or butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. diced rhubarb
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, oleo and cinnamon together until crumbly.
Press 1/2 of crumbs into 9-inch pan.
Cover with rhubarb.
Make sauce up of sugar, water, cornstarch and vanilla. Cook until thick and clear and then pour over rhubarb and sprinkle with remaining crumbs on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Serve hot with milk or cold with whipped cream.
We prefer it cold.
