Sour Cream Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
    2 c. sour cream
    2 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
    1 box yellow cake mix
Preparation
    Combine coconut, sour cream and sugar.
    Refrigerate overnight. Prepare cake by box directions into 2 layers.
    After cool, split layers to make four.
    Reserve 1 cup coconut mixture.
    Pour coconut mixture between layers.
    Combine Cool Whip and 1 cup coconut mixture; frost outside of cake.
    Refrigerate overnight.
