Tea And Party Pick-Up - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 lb. grated sharp cheese
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    4 doz. dates
    4 doz. pecan halves
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soften butter and cream with cheese.
    Add sifted flour, salt and pepper; knead.
    Pinch off one heaping tablespoon and mold in palm of hand around a date-stuffed with pecan half.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, until lightly brown.
