Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    approximately 1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch.
    Add water and bring to boil.
    Boil about 2 minutes more, until thick and clear.
    Add the strawberry gelatin.
    Stir until melted.
    Cool slightly, but while still hot, pour over berries arranged in pie shell.
    Be sure to cover all berries.
    Garnish with whipped topping, if desired.
