Best Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pounds fresh turnips
1 fresh apple (optional)
2 or 3 tbsp. margarine
1 Tbsp. sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Peel turnips with a vegetable peeler and cut in chunks. Cut apple in chunks. (Apple may be peeled according to your preference.) Place in pot with margarine, and sugar; add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes, or until the turnip chunks are tender. Serve hot.
