Pecan Drops(Makes 4 Dozen) - cooking recipe

1 c. pecans
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. confectioners sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Start oven at 325\u00b0 and chop pecans rather coarsely.
Cream butter and shortening together until smooth, then beat in confectioners sugar gradually.
Stir in flour thoroughly and add vanilla and pecans.
Mix well and drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until a very delicate light brown.
