Brine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. water (well water, spring water or distilled water)
    2 c. white vinegar
    1/4 c. canning salt
Preparation
    Bring to boil; boil for 1 minute.
    Set aside to cool.
    This amount is enough for one gallon.
    Select cukes.
    (I use pickling or straight 8's,
    6 to 7-inches long or smaller.)
    Leave 1/2-inch stem on.
    Wash cukes with vegetable brush, making sure all foreign matter is removed.
    Double check in 2nd bath.
    (Cold water).
    Have ready pickling spices, garlic and fresh dill.
