Sweet Potatoes And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium size sweet potatoes
    1 1/2 c. thinly sliced apples (tart preferred)
    1/2 c. or more brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. water or apple juice
Preparation
    Cook sweet potatoes until nearly done in boiling salted water. Peel them and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Grease a baking dish and place in alternating layers the sweet potatoes and apples.
    (If the apples are not tart, sprinkle them with lemon juice.) Sprinkle the layers with brown sugar.
    Dot them with 4 tablespoons butter.
    Pour over them water or apple juice.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
