Cooked Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 egg whites
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Combine water, sugar and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat. stir constantly until clear and thick. Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Continue heating while gradually pouring cooked meringue into egg whites. Beat 3 minutes or until stiff, peaks form. Do Not Overheat.
