Ingredients

1/2 c. rice
4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
grated peel of 1/2 lemon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. seedless raisins
Preparation

Mix rice, milk, salt and sugar.
Pour into greased baking dish.
Bake in slow oven (300\u00b0) for 1 hour, stirring several times.
Add lemon peel, nutmeg and raisins.
Continue baking for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Two-third cup brown sugar may be used in place of granulated sugar.
Serves 6.
