Green Wonder Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can green beans (French-cut)
    1 can English peas
    1 can Chinese vegetables (without meat)
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced thin
    3 green onions (optional), chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Drain all vegetables, saving juice to freeze for use in soups later.
    Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and refrigerate overnight.
    Keep covered.
    Will keep for several weeks.
