Tomato Soup Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 can tomato soup
    3/4 can cold water
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar, eggs and shortening.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add water and tomato soup.
    Add dates and nuts, if desired.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
