Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
Hershey's Kisses

Preparation

Mix shortening and sugar.
Add peanut butter.
Blend in dry ingredients; mix well.
Shape into balls.
Roll in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes; remove from oven.
Place Kiss and press into cookie until the cookie cracks around the edge.
Return to oven 2 to 5 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen.
