Vanilla Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. white sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, milk and butter.
    Cook on medium heat to a firm ball stage. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat until it loses its glossy appearance. Put on greased plates and cool. Cut into squares.
    Yields 2 pounds.
