Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. sliced apples
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and mix until fluffy. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Fold in apples, raisins and nuts.
    Put into 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Turn off oven and leave cake in for another 1/2 hour. Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
