Salmon Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can salmon
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. dry bread crumbs
    1 egg
    shortening
    1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped fine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Put salmon in bowl, flake and remove bones.
    Beat egg. Combine with milk, crumbs and other ingredients.
    Add to salmon. Mix well.
    Shape into 6 cakes.
    Place in hot shortening over medium heat and brown on both sides.
    Serve with tartar sauce, if desired.
    These may also be baked at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
