Calico Meringue Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites
pinch of cream of tartar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. M&M's
1 tsp. white vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy in a small deep bowl.
Gradually beat in sugar to make a stiff meringue. Fold in M&M's (plain chocolate ones).
Grease and flour a large cookie sheet.
Drop meringue mixture by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Garnish each with an M&M.
Bake in slow oven at 250\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until cookie is firm to the touch but still white. Cool cookies on cookie sheet on wire rack.
Remove from sheet with spatula.
Store in tightly covered containers.
Do not try to make during humid weather.
