Italian Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. arm or chuck roast
    1 pkg. dry Italian salad dressing mix
    1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. dry onion or 1 small fresh onion, chopped
    pepper and Italian seasoning to taste
Preparation
    Trim roast of all visible fat.
    Place in crock-pot.
    Sprinkle other dry ingredients over meat.
    Add water.
    Cook on high for 6 to 8 hours.
    Turn off and let sit for 1/2 hour.
    (Roast will absorb liquid.)
    Shred meat with wire whisk and serve on \"sub\" rolls with cheese.
    Also good over buttered noodles or rice.
