Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs, water, vanilla and peanut butter.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Chill 1 hour or overnight.
Roll into walnut size balls.
Press with floured fork. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Makes approximately 2 1/2 dozen.
