Black-Eyed Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 large eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. peas, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can creamed corn
    1 c. (4 oz.) cheese, shredded
    2 pickled jalapeno peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Cook first 4 ingredients in a skillet over medium heat.
    Cook until all pink is gone from beef.
    Drain.
    Add eggs, buttermilk and oil.
    Stir until moist.
    Stir all ingredients together.
    Bake in a 11 x 7-inch baking dish.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 8 servings.
