Six Layer Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced potatoes
    3 Tbsp. uncooked rice
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1 medium green pepper
    1 medium onion
    2 carrots, chopped
    1 (No. 3) can whole tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place a thick layer of raw potatoes in a casserole dish which has been buttered.
    Sprinkle rice over potatoes.
    Cover rice with ground beef.
    Add layer of chopped carrots, then green peppers, onions, salt and sugar.
    Add tomatoes which you have chopped up with the juice.
    Cover tightly and cook at 350\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
