Father'S Fish House Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. lime juice
    1 1/2 (750 ml) bottles rum
    1 (750 ml) bottle American brandy
    1 c. peach brandy
    3 bottles champagne or plain soda
    ice or ice ring
Preparation
    Three days prior to serving, heat water and sugar to boiling; stir to form syrup.
    Cool.
