24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 can water chestnuts
1 pt. mayonnaise
3 Tbsp. sugar
Parmesan cheese
bacon bits
Preparation

Break up lettuce and mix with onion, celery and water chestnuts.
Combine mayonnaise and sugar.
Spread on top of lettuce mixture.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bacon bits. This salad is better left set overnight in the refrigerator until the next day.
