Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. broccoli, cooked and drained
    4 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. chicken broth (room temperature)
    2 c. half and half cream *
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    lemon pepper
    cayenne to taste
    2 lb. Velveeta, melted in microwave or double boiler
Preparation
    In heavy pot, saute onion until limp.
    Add broccoli and parsley and simmer about 3 minutes.
    Stirring, sprinkle mixture with flour and stir until absorbed (2 minutes).
    Transfer to blender.
    Add chicken broth to fill blender to 3/4 capacity. Blend until liquified.
    Return to pot and add remaining ingredients and cheese.
    Freezes well.
