Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. coconut extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
6 oz. fresh or frozen coconut
Preparation

Cream together butter, shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat well after each.
Sift flour with baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, extract and coconut. Turn into greased 10-inch tube pan.
Place in cold oven; set temperature at 300\u00b0.
Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Can be iced with any white icing and coconut added.
